特集:2017年10月14日,OCCA组织的Bear Mt Hiking秋季登山举行

On October 14, 2017, the OCCA and Chinese School at Central Valley gathered at the base of Bear Mountain for their biannual hike. One hike occurs in the spring, and the other occurs in the fall. The fall air was crisp and chilly, and almost everyone was wearing sweaters or windbreakers. Everyone also brought delicious foods such as fried fish with veggies, sautéed vegetables, pizza, mantou, and baozi (mantou is a kind of steamed bun, and a baozi is meats and veggies in a mantou).
The hike started right after lunch, around 1:30pm, and everyone began to hike. The energetic children ran up the steps in a matter of seconds, while the adults chatted as they walked. Scenic views were sprawled across the mountain, and people took many pictures of the trees that were beginning to turn hues of red, orange, yellow, and brown, the river that cut across the mountain, and the paths that they were hiking on. By the time everyone was at the top of the mountain, they were panting and sweating, and took a quick break. Then everyone climbed down the mountain to signal the end of the hike.
Thank you to our OCCA President Mr. Wu and members getting together to enjoy a memorable fall day!
